Features:

Front Panel Controls Eight push-button switches:

LIGHT (2): either activates the LCD backlight;

MODE: Changes the display units;

LOG: Stores currently displayed data or changes current location identifier, depending on the currently active logging mode;

RATE/INTEG: Toggles the alphanumeric display between the digitized rate value and the integrate value;

RESP TIME: Changes the response time on the first range or resets the integrate value and elapsed time;

AUDIO: Toggles the click output associated with counting events in the detector, turns Audio on/off, and acknowledges alarm conditions;

ON/OFF: Turns instrument power on/off when permitted by the microprocessor (i.e., when data logging is inactive or all logged data has been read by a PC).

• Dose Reset when detector is turned off an on again.

• Switch Between mR/h Dose Rate to CPM/CPS Count Setting (any probe can be used independent of the Dose Rate Calibration when used in the Count setting).

• Switch Between Rate and Dose (switch between count rate or mR/h rate and accumulated dose or counts).

• Audio is via internal speaker

• MHV Connector (some BNC cables may fit)

Victoreen 190 Radiation Survey and Count Rate Meter

This survey meter is *paired with the Victoreen 489-4 Beta/Gamma probe with an effective range of upto 115 mR/h (1.15 mSv/h) and 275,000 CPM. Beyond this range the 1B85 GM tube either saturates or the Jam Current enables to notify the user the probe has gone beyond its effective range. The calibration is contained on the EPROM which is housed in the black MHV plugg-in.

This meter can be used with other probes as shown in the photos (pancake probe not included).

The survey meter is also equipped with a DU operational check source that reads about '1.3 mR/h' ('10.3 uSv/h') with the probe extended out of its beta shield.

There is a red backlight to illuminate the meter face. There are a few scratches on the meter face but this does not impede the readout visibility.

Comes in a foam lined case.

*The probe was not originally paired with the meter but as shown in the photos the calibration appears to be correct. It provides an accurate background reading and dose rate reading when compared to the Automess 6150AD (not included) and other detectors.

The meter is used, there will be signs of such usage.

Batteries, U mineral and or red disc source are not included
